An extraordinarily proud Director of Music types this...the music department seems to be going from strength to strength and it is because we have the most AMAZING children here at Brambletye.
They work tirelessly, always very helpful and produce the most fabulous performances all of the time. Yesterday - assembly....music department assembly and what a show! Piano solo by Monet - that would be the Chopin Waltz in B minor - vocal solo by Lucy - 'She's like the swallow' - and finishing with some rocking performances by the Concert Band. Just fabulous. Perfect! Outstanding even!
Today - Open Day: again, terrific opener by Monet and Oliver - Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, piano duet - Junior Chapel Choir with the most amazing performance of Songs of a starry night and then finished with Concert Band, Watermelon Man and Apache. All performances were faultless.
It all bodes well for tonight's chamber concert in Walnut. Looking at the programme, it is very hard to believe that the children who are to be performing range in age from 9 - 13! They are incredible!
